film language posters.

Harrison Ford blade runner:
Movie appears to be of the sci-fi genre as shown by the interpretation of a modern city and advanced weaponry. The poster also reveals that the film could be about the man with the determined facial expression on a mission of some sort but this could be compromised by the 'femme-fatale' on the right hand side. The target audience would be late teens into adults in their 20's.

Scary movie 2:
Scary movie suggests the movie will be about horror however this is a sequel and the audience would know that this is more of a comedy, this can be shown with the dramatic facial expressions and the characters as one of the 'Wayans' brothers is featured in the background and the audience will make the association between him and comedy. There are also some horror movie 'cliches' with the black cat, the reverend and the psycho at the back.

Uzak:
This film isn't English made but shown in English independent cinemas (art-house) and is shown to be in a harsh and could environment and shows the figure of a man starring off into the distance, this film could be a thriller because there is a lot of uncertainty in the poster as to who the man is and where he is and what he's doing.

Im not scared:
The film poster shows a young boy starring into a hole which could be his fear, the story could involve the boy conquering this fear in order to help a friend who may have fallen into it. The target audience would be children under the age of 10. The genre could be adventure as there are some bright colours and the sky is visible.

Sin city:
This film appears to be an action/thriller with some violence as the characters are seen brandishing hand guns and this could be a binary opposition film as there are people united at the top and a smaller silhouette of a man on his own coming out from the shadows. The target audience would be adults from 18-late 20's.

Pirates of the Caribbean:
A well known adventure film set in different parts of the world where protagonist Johnny Depp is at sea hunting treasure. This is aimed at a teenage and adult audience. The storyline is typical of a pirate movie in which more than one party hunt a treasure chest and the movies title is 'dead mans chest'.

Bride and prejudice:
The film bride and prejudice is an Asian parody of the film 'pride and prejudice' and is a romantic-comedy aimed at people of different ages. The poster suggests there will be a wedding taking  place in India at some stage during the movie, however there will be a struggle to reach that point possibly with family disagreements.

Million dollar baby:
The film mainly includes 3 characters, two older men and a woman and the background is dark suggesting there will be times of hardship and struggle. Also the woman seems in good physical condition and dressed accordingly so this indicates that the film could be sport related and aimed at an older audience 20+ also the genre would be action and thriller.
